TACO PIE

1 9in Pie Crust

1 lb Ground beef

1 pack taco seasoning

1 can Refried beans

1 package shredded cheese

Bake unfilled pie crust, according to package. Remove as soon as edges start to brown.

Meanwhile, brown ground beef, drain and add taco seasoning as instructed on package. Heat refried bean in a microwave safe bowl for about 2minutes. This helps them spread easier.

Once seasoned ground beef is cooked, place all of the meat in the bottom of the pie crust. Next, layer refried bean on top of meat. Top with majority of shredded cheese. Bake in oven at 350 degrees until cheese is melted and edges of pie crust are browned.

Cut into slices and serve. Add your favorite toppings; Sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, salsa or jalapenos. I also like to make some sweet corn and use as a topping too!

***For a reduced calorie recipe, substitute the ground beef with ground turkey and use reduced fat refried bean, reduced fat cheese and sour cream. Because all of the ingredients are mixed together, this dish tastes just as good with the low calorie version.
